5 Years of BalancedCare™

Five years ago, we launched BalancedCare™ with a vision: to revolutionize healthcare lighting by combining innovation, wellness, and design. Since then, BalancedCare has grown from a pioneering idea into a trusted, industry-leading lighting solution in healthcare environments across North America.

2020 – The Beginning of Better Care

BalancedCare™ was born out of the need for architectural lighting that could meet the demanding clinical, visual, and emotional needs of healthcare spaces. Featuring our patented BeWell™ Optics, we set a new standard in visual comfort and performance. BalancedCare is not just a lighting solution. It is a design philosophy rooted in human well-being.

2021 – A Circadian Shift

We deepened our commitment to whole-person health by integrating BIOS SkyBlue® technology, originally developed from NASA research. With circadian lighting, BalancedCare empowered healthcare facilities to support patients' natural sleep-wake rhythms, promoting faster recovery and improved staff alertness.

2023 – Growing Reach & Recognition

BalancedCare continued to earn trust across the healthcare design community, becoming a go-to solution for patient rooms, corridors, nurses’ stations, and more. Our products received industry praise for their balance of cleanability, ease of maintenance, and sleek, non-institutional aesthetics.

2024 – Smart, Sustainable, Future-Ready

As healthcare spaces evolved, so did we. BalancedCare’s luminaires became even more connected, code-compliant, and sustainable. With tool-free maintenance, antimicrobial finishes, and robust certification standards (UL, ADA, IP, NSF), we delivered lighting that stands the test of time—and the demands of infection control.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
