Corridors

A hospital corridor is a transition area with a special twist – patients are often moved through while laying on their backs so lighting needs to be particularity comfortable and those on foot need uniform distribution without reflection or shadows for safe passage. Wayfinding and nighttime dimming are a plus. In a hospital, corridors are so much more than just hallways. Light the way.

Hospital corridors need consistent, glare-free lighting to prevent falls and aid navigation for patients, staff, and visitors. Functional asymmetrical lighting, decorative sconces, and durable luminaires like Axis's BalancedCare™ meet these needs efficiently.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
