Common Areas

Public areas offer opportunities. Make good first impressions, provide respite for weary family, create a cheery oasis during a tough time. The right lighting can make common areas feel welcoming rather than institutional. Choose lighting that complements patient room designs for a seamless guest experience.

Waiting areas, lobbies, reception, check-in spaces, cafeterias, gift shops, and general corridors - these numerous communal zones within a hospital form its structure. Illumination in these spaces reflects the hospital's vitality and robustness. It adds to the worth that patients, families, and staff sense when they first arrive or stay for extended periods under challenging conditions. Lighting in such settings should offer comfort and vitality - aiding in stress reduction, projecting cleanliness and efficacy, and continually upholding the hospital's identity with a modern, appealing visual appeal. BalancedCare™ by Axis unifies these elements.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
