Nurses' Station

The job list is never-ending - 24/7. Nurses’ station lighting should enhance effectiveness, not inhibit it. Sufficient illumination for visual comfort. Glare-free, targeted task lighting to alleviate eye fatigue. Variable CCT for shift worker circadian support.

Nurses’ stations are vital hubs of life-saving information, serving as both a destination and a central point. They operate in conjunction with nearby corridors, necessitating comparable solutions for safe movement. Daytime lighting is increased, nighttime lighting is reduced, and low-illumination steplights assist staff in moving safely between areas - from the nurses’ station to the corridor to the patient room. The lighting should cater to the visual and non-visual requirements of nurses of all ages, who work long hours outside regular schedules. BalancedCare™ by Axis integrates all these aspects seamlessly.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
