Safety first

Putting one foot in front of the other is harder for some than others. Darkness makes it more difficult, even dangerous. Steplights deliver floor-level illumination that helps a patient get from bed to bathroom and helps overnight caregivers avoid obstacles when crossing the room. Floorlevel illumination is also useful for wayfinding in dimmed corridors. The key is an effective cut-off design that lights the floor but does not spill light into the space.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
