StencilFlex

Layers of light

A line-voltage innovation

When form meets function and flexibility

StencilFlex is a line-voltage system that combines layers of line-voltage general and track lighting. That system is best described as the StencilFlex framework, a lightweight, customizable structure in which layers of light are inserted where needed.

Stencilflex Surface Framework

A Framework for Limitless Lighting Design

In spaces with exposed ceilings, the StencilFlex framework creates a suspended, scalable ceiling-like structure that supports layers of light, while maintaining an architectural look
with the option of integrating highly appealing acoustic elements. StencilFlex lighting projects can include one or multiple frameworks of different shapes and sizes, including all-new Curves. Which type of framework fits your vision for the space?

Track Inserts and Decoratives

Added energy efficiency and safety

In addition, StencilFlex is able to achieve significantly lower lighting power densities, thereby simplifying energy code compliance.

General lighting inserts operate on line voltage, so they only consume power based on lumen output. For example, an 8’ general-lighting insert with an output of 400 lm/ft is rated at 30W (3.75W per foot)

Low-voltage track inserts (AxisTrak™) function on a constant current, resulting in a power rating of 60W per AxisTrak™ insert, regardless of insert length or the number of track lighting elements used.

Since low-voltage track lighting can be selectively integrated into the line voltage framework, StencilFlex provides greater flexibility in meeting power allowances

LattiX™ Acoustic Grids

Choose from 16 vibrant colors of colorfast, easy-to-clean felt made from 60% recycled PET plastic. Our easy-to-assemble kits ensure hassle-free mounting without the need for additional support cables. Acoustic grids are seamlessly integrated into StencilFlex frameworks and cannot be repositioned, so be sure to incorporate them during the framework design phase (Step 2) for optimal acoustic performance.

Horizontal Acoustic Panels

Available in 40 colors, these acoustic panels are made from polyester fill with at least 40% recycled PET plastic. They are easy to install and reposition within StencilFlex frameworks, allowing for flexible adjustments as needs evolve. Horizontal acoustic panels support seamless integration with building systems like HVAC and sprinklers. For a cohesive design, optional framework color-matching is available—consult your Axis representative for details.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
