StencilFlex — Easy
We've simplified specifying StencilFlex with more options and an easy-to-use online tool. It guides you through configuring light layers, lets you save or copy your selections, and add them directly to your project folder. Once you're set, just submit the folder and a layout drawing. Step 1: Design Framework
Choose from pendant, surface, or recessed mounting, and create your custom reflected ceiling plan with joining hubs and linear sections. Use segments as a cost-effective wireway to power and control light where needed.
Consider your control system too. For multiple or reconfigurable zones, our digital addressable wired system offers granular control, allowing individual fixtures to operate independently with minimal power drops. This system can be controlled at a room level with the Axis supplied Digital Control Touch Switch or integrated into building-level controls.
Step 2: Add Lighting Inserts To The Framework
Choose linear inserts for general lighting or AxisTrak™ track inserts for accent and decorative lighting.
AxisTrak™ makes track lighting easier with low-voltage technology—no need for remote drivers, which lowers the costs and keeps track heads flexible. Each insert has a mini line-voltage driver, making swaps and on-site adjustments simple. The optional shunt relay qualifies StencilFlex for emergency lighting. Use blank inserts where lighting isn’t needed to keep your design clean and energy-efficient
Step 3: Choose Decorative, Acoustics, & Accessories
This step is required if AxisTrak™ was selected in Step 2 or if Acoustics and other Accessories are desired. If only Linear inserts were selected, you can submit your reflective ceiling plan for review.
For AxisTrak™, choose from a range of accents and decoratives (spotlights, cylinders, orbs, and tubes) to add a decorative light layer to your space. Track elements come prewired for full adjustability along the insert.
Optional: Acoustics & Accessories
Add LattiX™ grids or horizontal acoustic panels to improve sound clarity or add visual interest to StencilFlex. Acoustic samples are available to help ensure your color choice is a perfect match.
