Pixel+

High-performance miniature downlights

Compact Design. Powerful Performance.

Pixel+ is a next-generation architectural downlight platform that brings Axis Lighting's proven MikroLite® optical technology into a compact, high-performance format. Drawing on the same precision optics used in Sculpt, Sketch, and other Axis families, Pixel+ delivers controlled light distribution, low glare, and high visual comfort within a refined, minimalist form.

Designed for spaces where lighting must support the architecture without drawing attention to itself, Pixel+ balances subtlety with output. The discreet, yet powerful, MikroLite® cell optics are offered in both linear and square configurations, providing flexibility for general illumination, accent lighting, and layered lighting applications.

A carefully curated selection of shapes and finishes allows Pixel+ to integrate seamlessly into ceiling planes or create intentional visual contrast. Loft and Conic baffle forms align naturally with ceiling layouts, architectural geometry, and other MikroLite®-based Axis Lighting luminaires. Consistent proportions, clean detailing, and nine matte and metallic high-quality finishes ensure visual continuity across spaces while maintaining optical performance and occupant comfort from quiet, restrained interiors to more expressive architectural environments.

Module Sizes

Pixel+ is available in a range of cell configurations: 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 1x4, and 1x8, providing flexibility for a variety of ceiling layouts and lighting applications.

MikroLite® Optical System. Precision by Design

Pixel+ is built around Axis’ MikroLite® optical system, featuring deep-cell optics engineered for exceptional visual comfort, low glare, and uniform illumination. Proven across Axis linear families, including Sculpt, Sketch, and Stencil, MikroLite® delivers controlled light with a refined architectural presence. Multiple optical formats enable designers to precisely tune the beam quality and distribution to suit the space.

Optic Choice for Design Flexibility

Pixel+ offers two distinct optical cores, each supporting a wide range of design intent:

  • TIR Optic Positions the light source closer to the aperture for a crisp, focused beam with strong visual definition.

  • Reflector Optic recesses the light source deep within the cell to produce a softer, quieter beam with exceptionally low glare.

Both optic types are available in five beam angles, from 15° to 60°, enabling application-specific lighting for accent, task, or ambient use.

Compact Design. Refined Ceiling Integration.

Pixel+ integrates Axis Lighting’s MikroLite® high-efficacy, 90 CRI LED into a compact downlight form, delivering high lumen output without compromising visual comfort or scale. The result is a versatile luminaire suitable for general illumination and accent lighting in commercial, hospitality, residential, and retail environments.  Designed for a clean, low-profile ceiling presence, Pixel+ integrates seamlessly into drywall, T-grid, felt, and wood ceiling applications. The minimalist detailing allows the architecture and the light to remain the focus.

For wood, the magnetic track mounting system provides simplified installation and on-site adjustability, using the same universal ceiling bracket as the Slate Wood Ceiling family for consistency across platforms.

Photometric Scale Tool

Information

For Linears – Target Total Luminaire Lumens, calculate by multiplying the original length by your desired lumen value. For example, if you want 800 lumens, multiply 800 × 4 (original length). Target Total Luminaire Lumens input would be 3200.

For optimal accuracy, always use a maximum length of 4ft. Anything beyond this includes only one light source. Note: Direct/Indirect scales proportionally and cannot be adjusted separately.
